Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to e-commerce transactions for pre-ordering Mecha products sold directly by Mecha Systems Inc. and/or Mecha Systems Private Limited (together, “Mecha”, “we”, “us”, “our”) through websites we own or operate (including any mecha.so owned domains).

1. Scope

This Refund Policy applies only to:

  • Pre-orders placed on Mecha's direct e-commerce storefronts.

This Refund Policy does not apply to:

  • Purchases made through third-party marketplaces, resellers, distributors, or other sales channels.
  • Crowdfunding platform pledges (for example, Kickstarter) that are processed and governed by the platform's own terms. If you pledged via a platform, your pledge and any refund requests are also subject to that platform's rules.

2. Key terms

  • “Pre-order” means an order placed before the product is available for immediate shipment.
  • “Order date” means the date the pre-order is successfully submitted and payment is captured or confirmed.

3. 14-day full refund window (no questions asked)

You may request a full refund within 14 days of your order date.

If your refund request is made within this 14-day window:

  • We will cancel the pre-order and issue a full refund to the original payment method.
  • Any inventory allocation associated with the pre-order will be released.

4. After 14 days: refunds are not guaranteed

After the 14-day full refund window has ended, refunds are not guaranteed.

Because pre-orders are used to plan and fund production, Mecha may allocate inventory, reserve components, commit manufacturing capacity, and incur processing and operational costs based on pre-order volume. As a result:

  • We may be unable to cancel or refund a pre-order once inventory has been allocated or once production commitments have been made.
  • If we do approve a refund after 14 days, we may do so only in specific circumstances and at our discretion.

5. How to request a refund

To request a refund, email support@mechasystems.com from the email address used for your order (or include proof of purchase) with:

  • Order number
  • Purchaser name
  • Email used at checkout
  • Reason for the request (optional, but helpful)

We will respond with the next steps and whether your request is eligible based on the timing and status of the pre-order.

6. Refund method and timing

If a refund is approved:

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
  • Payment processing fees are non-refundable. Any fees charged by payment processors or payment providers (for example, card processing fees) may be deducted from the refunded amount.
  • Processing times vary by payment provider and bank. In most cases, you should see the refund within 10 business days after the refund is initiated.

Pre-orders may involve timelines that change due to manufacturing, supply chain, compliance, logistics, and quality assurance factors.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate meaningful changes to schedules and fulfillment expectations. However:

  • Delivery dates are estimates.
  • Delays alone do not automatically make a pre-order eligible for a refund outside the 14-day full refund window.
