Mechanix OS

Powered by Linux

The Comet runs on Mechanix OS based on Debian, which means all 60,000+ packages in the Debian repos work out of the box.

Plus, you are free to port any distro you like. The Mechanix Shell is built in rust and supports GPU rendering on Wayland.

💡 Fun fact: We wrote an open-source UI framework for Linux Apps to build our shell. Check it out.

Easy to repair, lasts longer

At Mecha, we are sensitive about our impact to the environment, that is why our sustainability goals have been at the centre of every design decision we have made.

From easy repairability, standard connectors to open-source software, the Comet is our statement to the world that with right intentions, sustainable change is possible.

The Comet’s time-travel

We started with a simple idea - to build a computer that is versatile and ready for real-world applications. Our journey across last 3 years has helped shaped the Comet you see today.
